B.E / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics/ Electronics & Communication/Mechanical Engineering

Minimum 60 % marks

Desirable

M.E / M. Tech in Control Systems / Power Electronics / Mechatronics and project work related to Electric Vehicle / Hybrid Electric Vehicle.

Role

Electric Vehicle Charging System & Controls Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the development, design, and implementation of EV charging system & controls
  • Understand EV charging system, different methods/modes & its associated components (connectors, cable etc.)
  • Knowledge of EV charging protocols (viz., CHAdeMO, CCS2) and experience of implementation
  • Define the high level and detailed requirements for charging systems and controls for EV
  • Integration of Charging functions with electric vehicle control unit
  • Develop the charging functions and software, including logic development, MIL evaluation, HIL evaluation and vehicle level validation
  • Functional Testing, System/Component Benchmarking, and database creation
  • Know-how of essential tools required in software controls and diagnostics (CAN, DFMEA, DRBFM, UDS etc.)
  • Working with stakeholders within the organization and outside (suppliers, consultants) for above development
  • Knowledge of future trends in charging technology, driving innovation

Technical/ Functional

  • Working experience of automobile powertrain system & controls
  • Exposure to Hybrid / Electric powertrain and ECU system & control Design, development, Verification and Validation
  • Experience of Model Based Design with Matlab Simulink/State flow
  • Experience in testing at controller level (HIL) and vehicle level
  • Exposure to appropriate Regulations and Standards of HEV/EV such as AIS 038, AIS 102 etc.
  • Knowledge of ISO 26262
  • Hands-on experience of using HV measurement equipment
